Description
The durable, colorful and decorative architectural concrete seafront promenade and causeway at the picturesque fishing village of Port Seton, on the Firth of Forth near Edinburgh, Scotland, provided a remarkable and highly successful reclamation of a disused industrial area. To improve an unattractive area, the local government authority involved the community and local artists in creating the highly imaginative designs for the area. The collaboration of local citizens and local government resulted in the creation of a very popular, revitalized public seafront area that succeeded in drawing people of all ages back to the waterfront all year around, even on the brisk, wet and cold winter days.
