Description
The use of a light colored, rough textured, integrally colored concrete floor in a sophisticated housewares store provided a startlingly clean and modern design statement. The simplicity of the visual appeal and superior durability of the approach led to the use of Scofield Systems for coloring and texturing architectural concrete being specified for many new Crate & Barrel stores throughout the country.

Project Team: Solomon Cordwell, Buenz and Associates, Inc., architect; Capitol Construction and Schal Associates, contractors.
