LIGHT COLORED CONCRETE WITHOUT THE HIGH COST OF WHITE CEMENT|
Ash White Color Hardener Makes the Cut
These two stamped residential projects by two different decorative contractors have one thing in common: they both utilized LITHOCHROME® Color Hardener in Ash White to replicate the look of white cement.
The first project shown is a new construction home. OPC of Lowell, AR placed 2,600 sf of colored and imprinted concrete in a peacock paver pattern using a rock salt texture skin, colored with LITHOCHROME® Color Hardener in Ash White with LITHOCHROME® Antiquing Release Pro in Beige Cream. Pavers are 32' x 32" x 6" thick, with 6" pocket. A 6" drain was installed under turf between stones.
Long drive time and hot summer temperatures prevented using white cement on replicating a limestone look on the second project. Instead, contractor Mike Lindsey used LITHOTEX® Pavecrafters® Fractured Slate texture skin and Ash White Color Hardener with matching LITHOCHROME® Antiquing Release Pro. The 3'x3' squares were stabilized by sitting on a 2' sonatube 3' deep sitting on a footing.
