L. M. SCOFIELD COMPANY INTRODUCES NEW SOLACHROME™ INTEGRAL COLOR ING TREATMENT FOR HIGH-SRI CONCRETE

ATLANTA, GA . . . SOLACHROME™ Integral Treatment for High-SRI Colored Concrete is an exciting new breakthrough in Environmental Hardscaping. SOLACHROME Integral Treatment is the first patent-pending, photocatalytic color additive specifically formulated to maintain SRI and reduce the urban heat island effect.

SOLACHROME Integral Treatment allows the designer to look beyond the visible color spectrum to keep concrete pavement cool. Most selections of SOLACHROME Integral Treatment are available in formulations that have unique technology which provides "SRI restoring" characteristics, to help control the loss of the concrete's albedo over time. This albedo loss over time has been extensively studied by a major national laboratory and proven to be a significant factor in the mitigation of Urban Heat Islands. In the presence of water, the technology produces a photocatalytic reaction which breaks down and destroys surface contaminants.
